As I write this it is 36 degrees and a light rain. I was out checking the course yesterday and we had a good 8"+ of snow covering the greens. At the bottom I found there to be no ice accumulation. That was great to see. Prolonged ice cover traps bad gases suffocating the turf by not allowing it to exchange gas for oxygen. It has been 17 days since the first snow accumulation February 6th. Once we reach 45 days then I might begin to worry.

Until the weather changes keep watching the golf channel and stay warm. Spring is just around the corner. I am skeptical about the weather...
